วันที่ 4 มิถุนายน ค.ศ. 2019 เป็นวันครบรอบ350 ปีแห่งการสถาปนามิสซังสยาม พระคาร์ดินัล แฟร์นันโด ฟิโลนี สมณมนตรีแห่งสมณกระทรวงประกาศพระวรสารสู่ปวงชน นครรัฐวาติกัน ได้เสด็จเยือนประเทศไทยและฉลองพิธีบูชาขอบพระคุณเนื่องในโอกาสสำคัญนี้ เมื่อวันที่ 18 พฤษภาคม และหลังจากนั้นได้เข้าพบหารือกับ นายวีระ โรจน์พจนรัตน์ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงวัฒนธรรม ที่กระทรวงวัฒนธรรม โดยมีคุณพ่อคาร์โล เวลาร์โด จิตตาภิบาลของออร์เดอร์ ออฟ มอลตา ประเทศไทยเป็นผู้ติดตามในหมู่คณะด้วย
